WHO WE ARE

About THE SafeHouse Group, LLC

SafeHouse Group, LLC was founded on a simple belief — that true security begins with design.
We are a team of licensed architects, security professionals, and technical specialists dedicated to creating architecturally refined, purpose-built environments that protect what matters most.

With decades of combined experience in architecture, construction, and protective design, we bring together form, function, and foresight to deliver spaces that are as discreet as they are resilient. From the first consultation to the final inspection, we are there every step of the way — ensuring precision, confidentiality, and uncompromising quality in everything we do.

Scott Rose Co-Founder, SafeHouse Group, LLC

Scott Rose is a licensed architect and security professional whose career bridges the worlds of high-end architectural design and personal protection. A graduate of Philadelphia University, Scott earned his degree in Architecture in 2013 and has since dedicated his career to designing and managing bespoke residential and commercial projects throughout the Hamptons and the East Coast.

Working alongside his father at John David Rose Architect P.C., a firm with over three decades of legacy in fine residential architecture, Scott developed a reputation for precision, discretion, and an uncompromising attention to detail. His hands-on experience with custom estates, complex renovations, and historic preservation shaped a deep understanding of how luxury design and function must coexist.

Scott is a New York State Licensed Architect and Licensed New York State Armed Executive Protection —a rare dual qualification that embodies his expertise in both the built environment and physical security.

Guided by the belief that time is the greatest enemy —whether in design, construction, or crisis—Scott co-founded SafeHouse Group, LLC with his father, John Rose to create solutions that anticipate, protect, and endure. Each project merges architectural elegance with defensive strategy, ensuring that when seconds matter, design and preparation already stand in your favor.

Through SafeHouse Group, Scott is redefining the standard for secure living—delivering architecturally sophisticated, purpose-built environments for clients who value privacy, performance, and peace of mind.

John Rose Co-Founder, SafeHouse Group, LLC

John Rose is a licensed Architect and the founder of John David Rose Architect P.C., a respected architectural practice based in Southampton, New York, established in 1994. For more than three decades, John has designed some of the Hamptons’ most distinctive homes, estates, and private retreats—each reflecting a mastery of proportion and craftsmanship.

Known for his ability to merge refined design with technical precision, John has long integrated hidden rooms, safes, and fortified spaces into his residential work, anticipating a growing demand for secure architecture well before it became a trend. His designs are characterized by timeless elegance, functional integrity, and an intuitive understanding of how people live—and protect—within their homes.

A firm believer in the philosophy “Prepared, not surprised,” John approaches every project with the understanding that while nothing is ever perfect or foolproof, careful foresight and execution can bring you remarkably close. This guiding principle has become both his personal mantra and the foundation of SafeHouse Group, LLC, the company he co-founded with his son, Scott Rose.

At SafeHouse Group, John brings over 30 years of architectural experience to a new frontier—where architecture and security converge. His role focuses on ensuring that every SafeHouse design is both aesthetically seamless and technically uncompromising, embodying the company’s mission to create spaces that safeguard what matters most while elevating the art of design itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does SafeHouse Group do?

SafeHouse Group designs, coordinates, and oversees the creation of secure and concealed architectural environments — including safe rooms, hidden rooms, panic rooms, vaults, home safes, storm shelters, fortified spaces, and more. We manage every stage of the process: from consultation and design, to installation and ongoing maintenance.

Our work combines architectural sophistication with advanced security integration, ensuring every project—large or small—is executed with precision, confidentiality, and purpose.

We handle projects of all sizes and complexities—from a hidden compartment built into a staircase newel post, to underground tunnels connecting multiple structures, and everything in between.

Whether the project is a small hidden feature or a large-scale fortified environment, SafeHouse Group delivers the same level of care, craftsmanship, and discretion.

We work with a broad range of clients and professionals, including homeowners, architects, contractors, security companies, property managers, law enforcement, and government agencies to name a few.

Our ability to collaborate across disciplines allows us to integrate our systems seamlessly into both new construction and existing buildings, ensuring that every solution complements the property’s design and purpose.

Every project we undertake is custom designed to the client’s needs, architectural style, and level of security. We specialize in concealed design—creating secure spaces that blend naturally into their surroundings without disrupting the home or building’s aesthetic.

We have yet to meet a challenge we couldn’t overcome, and we’re constantly researching and developing new ways to improve performance, durability, and concealment. If you have an idea not listed on our site, we encourage you to contact us—we’re always eager to explore new possibilities and assess feasibility.

No system is truly “bulletproof” or “blast proof.” Our rooms, vaults, and safes are constructed using bullet-resistant, blast-resistant, and forced-entry-resistant materials that meet or exceed industry and government testing standards.

However, with enough time, force, and resources, any defensive structure can be breached. Our goal is to maximize protection, delay, and survivability—not to promise invincibility.

Yes. In most cases, we can integrate hidden or fortified spaces into existing structures with minimal disruption.
We begin with a comprehensive site evaluation to determine feasibility, access, and reinforcement requirements.

Our team has extensive experience working within existing floor plans to ensure that the final product looks—and functions—as though it were part of the original design

Absolutely. We design and coordinate custom safe installations ranging from compact wall safes to large walk-in vaults. We work with trusted manufacturers and ensure that safes are installed discreetly and securely, often concealed within architectural elements.
We also provide guidance on safe selection, ensuring clients choose the right UL-rated product for their protection goals.

Pricing depends on scope, size, materials, and security level.
A smaller residential project, such as a concealed safe or panic room retrofit, might begin around $25,000–$50,000, while large, high-security or multi-room installations can exceed $250,000+.

After the concept design phase, we present a detailed project book and material estimate—exclusive of shipping or installation—so clients can make informed decisions before fabrication begins.

SafeHouse Group is based in Southampton, New York, and provides services throughout the East Coast and select projects nationwide.
We routinely coordinate with remote clients and project teams, and we’re available for site visits, consultations, and design collaborations across the country.

Yes. Depending on the project location and services requested, we develop custom maintenance and readiness plans tailored to each client’s needs.

Our ongoing services include inspections, equipment checks, restocking of supplies, and system upgrades to ensure every space remains operational and ready at a moment’s notice

Yes. We frequently provide consultation and design support to architects, builders, and security firms who wish to incorporate secure elements into their own projects.
We can assist with technical documentation, specifications, and coordination to ensure that every system integrates seamlessly—without compromising confidentiality or design intent.

Confidentiality is central to everything we do.
Client names, project locations, and design details are never shared outside of those directly involved. All team members, subcontractors, and suppliers operate under strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

Our reputation depends on privacy—and we treat every project as if it were our own.

Because experience, discretion, and design integrity matter.
With backgrounds in both architecture and protective security, our team understands how to merge aesthetics, engineering, and safety into one seamless result.

We don’t just build safe rooms—we design peace of mind.
